What We Stand For

Advocacy & Representation

The Rural Broadcasters Association of Uganda (RBAU) champions the interests of rural radio and television stations across the country. We engage with government agencies, regulators, and development partners to ensure fair policies for community and rural broadcasters. Promote freedom of expression and responsible journalism. Advocate for improved access to broadcasting resources and fair licensing.

Networking & Collaboration

We create platforms for broadcasters to share experiences, ideas, and opportunities. Organize national and regional forums for broadcasters. Facilitate partnerships between rural stations, advertisers, and content producers. Encourage collaboration among members for joint programs and initiatives.

Research & Data Sharing

RUBA conducts and shares research to strengthen rural broadcasting. Media audience surveys and community feedback reports. Industry insights to help stations improve their reach and impact. Support data-driven decision-making for station management.

Public Awareness & Development Campaigns

We use the power of media to educate and transform communities. Coordinate awareness campaigns on health, education, environment, gender equality, agriculture, and civic participation.
